ReverendMilo Review:

Eric Tan has done Pixar and Disney movie posters in the past, you may have seen his Wall-e poster that deservedly grabbed a ton of attention. Eric Tan's style has been described as retro-futurist and this style carries on in "The Crash". My question is "Is the poster really about the crash?". Eric admits that his inspiration for this poster was his realization that most of the crash scene was seen through Jack's eyes. And here he seems to capture much more than just the Crash with images of 6 central figures, all done in a bold retro semi cartoonish style.
The balance and weighting of the image is perfect and the color scheme is uber satisfying. Between the status and caliber of this artist, it is no wonder that the print sold out fast.

In person, this print is incredibly impressive. It looks angry at you for not having matted and framed it's glory yet. It will draw your eyes around the image. Despite it's simplicity when you look at the individual elements, you find complexity and detail as you absorb the print in it's entirely.
If you got it, you are going to love it. Also, with the vast quantities of options Eric had, IMHO he made the right choice in the "Jackface" he chose to use, a "Jackface" that really captures "Jackface" without being one of the terribly unfortunate "Jackfaces" we have seen over the seasons.
